| Here are some things I have learned over the years with my two husbands.
The first one I married, when I was young and got myself knocked up. He was 15 years older than me and I didn't realize it at the time but very much a control freak. Wife beater, even hit me when I was pregnant. I finally got brave and told my dad I needed to leave. 7 years later I met a man from the internet no less, now, how dangerous is that, I think either my brain was out to lunch or I was really desperate for a date. I did everything to make this one leave but much to my surprise he has superbond grip glue and a anchor that won't budge. He really has taught me that he does stuff basically to see if he can get away with it. I could kick myself in the a**. So I finally got some B**s and stood up to him. Ladies, it feels wonderful to tell him, I'm going to the movies see you later, and he now has learned I wear the pants. If you let men treat you a certain way other than with respect and love, than ladies, your gonna hate me but you get what you deserve. You, have two legs and know where the front door is, don't let him give you sh** just because he can and feels like it. Otherwise guess what??????? That's what your going to get. GET TOUGH! Know that your someone special and if he can't see that than bye bye now. Respect yourself, know how you want to be treated!!!!!!! |

If only my daughters would believe me. I have told this to them over and over. But unfortunately they have to lean the hard way.
My friend was married to this girl and when he would tell her let's go to the Bahamas, she would tell him, "I don't want to go to the Bahamas, I want to go to France.
This is the kind of personality she had. He had a rebutation as being a real hard ass, but when it came to his wife, he was a pussy cat. Why, because she would not have it any other way.

I have a friend that is not really pleasing to the eyes, and her boyfrind is HOT, I mean Hot.
He loves her so much and no one can understand why.
He told me he loves her because basically she is a BITCH and she sticks up for herself.
So you are definately on to something. |

I agree with everything you said, but unfortunately we have to go though hell to get tough. But eventually some of us do learn. |

Sometimes we need to say the truth and not sugarcoat it. I've had a very hard life and you ladies are saying how can I be funny. This was a lifetime ago and I realize I need to have a stupid sign or please beat me up sign. I had a friend once who said the right man or woman will not make you cry. Like my hubby said let me get an inch and I'll take a mile. I said, Honey I do know how to use the frying pan for one thing, that is to hit you over the head. Actually, my favorite saying is this, the bible says let those who have ears hear, so if you don't hear me than let me pull yours off. To be successful in any marriage or relationship, there has to be communication and my belief is God. It's taken me 11 years with my second husband, now I've learned to joke with him and say, this marriage is just not about you. Now, it's about me. I love that tobie keith song, all you want to talk about is you, you, you. Ladies, the time for us is to live and love life, and if your not doing it, than shame on you. Pull that chin up and get positive, your somebody special. Say this 100 times a day, make that man open those doors for you and pull out the chair (well for you to sit on) it's about your self esteem.Go look in that mirror. Are you happy, well then what are YOU going to do about it. Nobody else can do if for you. You have to do it. So get to two stepping. |
